About (bgx:components)
Early in 2000, while working in Macromedia's European Support Team,
I started uploading Flash and other Macromedia related samples to
a site called bgx_2000
as a response to frequently asked questions for which I didn't know
of any other examples.
In spite of the very basic appearance and random selection of the
samples the site proved quite popular, especially the Ultradev
section, which seemed to have helped many a web designer to get
to grips with the principles of the then new world of server side
development.
This site, bgxcomponents.com, tries to keep up the standards of
delivering quality examples and, increasingly, components with comprehensible
descriptions, sample files and excellent documentation. However,
as I am by now a Freelance Developer (by the way based in Italy)
and have to make a living of this, only some of the examples and
components will be for free.
bgxcomponents.com is set up to provide both finished component
packages as well as to advertise my services for freelance consulting
or the development of custom components.
Please view the appropriate links for further information.
