Bgx Tooltip Component (Flash MX 2004)

The BGX Tooltip Component displays a tooltip above assigned objects like buttons, list entries, hotspots etc. It automatically positions the text next to the mouse, adjusting it so that it will not fall outside the boundaries of the stage.

To deploy the component simply drag an instance from the components panel to the stage and give it an instance name. View the usage examples to see how easily you can set the text, show and hide the tooltip even on list components or trees.

The TextField used to display the tooltip text is accessible to set properties like text styles, html display and others.

The delay before the appearance and the duration of the appearance can be set via the components inspector or scripting.
